Privacy Policy for Office Add-Ins

Data Protection

HDC, the developer and provider of Office add-ins like XTractor for Jira (cloud), takes the protection of your personal data very seriously.
We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the legal data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

However, we would like to point out that data transmissions via the internet (e.g. e-mail communication) cannot be entirely secure and may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of personal details against unauthorised access by third parties is impossible.

Microsoft AppSource / Office Store

When installing our Office add-in we collect personal data provided by Microsoft AppSource (Microsoft Office Store). Although these data may contain your name and e-mail address, we will not pass them to third parties without your explicit permission.

Jira specific circumstances

When using the Add-in for the first time, you'll be asked to login with your Jira credentials.

Using our add-in in the recommended way helps you to protect your business data. Fortunately, there's no need to install any other software to use our add-in.

Please note:
HDC needs to work with your credentials to connect to Jira - otherwise you won't be able to create reports of your Jira environment.
Anway, we will not store your credentials on our servers.
Instead, they will be encoded on your (client) side and be transfered to us (via https) for each request to use them to request against the Jira software (e.g. to request the issues).

We track the usage of the add-in anonymously to provide data to our development. Which features are used more often, which errors occur, etc. Actually, you cannot turn off this reporting but we are working on a solution for the future.

SSL Encryption

For security reasons and to protect data transmissions, we do protect all connections with SSL.
This includes not only the data transfer between your (client) side and our servers but also the transfers between our servers and Jira's servers (and vice versa).

With active SSL encryption the data you transmit cannot be accessed by third parties.

Right of information, deletion, blocking

You have the right to be informed about your personal data, their origin and addressee and the purpose of data processing as well as the right of correction, blocking or deletion of those data at any time and free of charge.
If you got further questions and/or questions concerning your personal data, feel free to contact us under the contact informations published in the imprint.
